wizard, Merlin, if he lives here, and
find out more about him. Do you
think he’ll be able to understand us?”
Hector said that if Merlin really was
a wizard, then he would use his
magical powers to understand them.
The metal footbridge to the castle
that had been there moments ago
had vanished with the rest of the
modern world and been replaced with
a wooden bridge. The dogs jogged
towards the bridge and onto it. Their
paws tapped out a soft rhythm on the
wood as they walked across it.
